The Lake District
The Lake District is in Cumberland. This was William Wordsworth's birth place. Unfortunately it was a bitterly cold and wet day when we visited the Lakes but we still had a cruise on the Swan. We drank gallons of hot tea to keep warm. Even though the weather did not cooperate very often on our excursions we still had a fabulous time. Here are a few of the photos we managed to get.

This is Lake Windermere. We had a boat ride aound the Lake on the Swan, a popular Riverboat.

The swans here at the Lakes are quite tame and rather bold. One of these actually nipped Cath on her rear because she wouldn't share her tea with it.(I got it on video but I wish I had a photo of it :)
