Hi my name is Margaret and I live in my comfortable little nest in North Carolina. Just in case you are wondering where I got the name from, let me explain.
I was born and bred in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the North of England and the magpie is the mascot of Newcastle United, our soccer team.
Their uniforms are black and white, the same colour of the magpie.Also the magpie (click for picture) is a noisy bird that likes to chatter endlessly about nothing in particular. I thought the name sort of fit me, since I have been told I tend to talk too much! Of course I don't agree with that observation :)
So, why am I doing this? I guess because I always wanted to write something for posterity but felt like I lacked the energy needed to find publishers and deal with rejection letters. On the web I can publish my own stuff and hopefully someone will find it interesting enough to read...(and the price is right too).
